We serve our clients by engaging with the community to identify unmet needs, and then we:
Why? The facilitated meeting brings the community together to discuss community needs and how we might address them.
New organizations have been formed as an outgrowth of the Conversation, such as the Kitsap Environmental Coalition and the Affordable Housing Working Group.
Read more about the meetings: 2018 Report and 2019 Report. The 2022 Report is available too!
All are welcome to participate.
Kingston Cares is actively involved in identifying creative and entrepreneurial solutions to the homelessness crisis in our area.
Our Affordable Housing Committee works with other organizations in North Kitsap to address the issue of affordable housing and help transition people into homes.
We belong to the Kingston Affordable Housing Working Group, attending monthly meetings and figuring out ways in which we can lend our support to the issue of affordable housing in our community.
We provide monetary, supplies, and volunteer support to Kitsap Homes of Compassion which is a non-profit that opens homes for women and children, and homes for men that are affordable and fully furnished.
We are exploring options on how to use a generous gift to meet affordable housing needs.
Why? We participate and volunteer at Project Connect so we can share about our services to those who might need them and to make connections with others who have interests in common.
